Mount LiliLite next to your bed
LiliLite hangs on the wall so the oak shelf sits above your pillow line and the LED shines across open pages. This guide lists the tools most owners use, a sensible mounting height, and what to check before you drill. Your bracket and screws ship with the lamp. If your wall is unusual, ask on the contact page before you start.

What you need
- Stud finder (for hollow walls) or knowledge of where masonry runs behind plaster.
- Drill with bits matched to your wall: wood bit if you hit a stud, masonry bit for brick or concrete.
- Spirit level at least as long as the shelf so the unit does not tilt.
- Pencil, vacuum or brush for dust, and a helper if the wall is tall.
Height and position
Hold the shelf against the wall while you sit in bed. You want the book sensor to see your book without stretching, and the light cone to fall on the page without shining in your eyes. Many readers set the bottom of the bracket a little above mattress height so the lamp clears thick duvets. Mark both left and right screw points only after you level the shelf.
Step by step
- Turn off the circuit if your cable route runs near existing outlets.
- Mark stud centers or drill points for wall anchors that match the weight of the lamp plus a heavy book.
- Pre-drill, then fix the bracket with the supplied hardware. Do not overtighten into soft plaster.
- Clip or route the cord down toward a bedside outlet, using a clip that matches your wall finish.
- Seat LiliLite on the bracket, plug in, and test the sensor with a real book before you tidy cables.
When to pause and ask us
Glass walls, metal studs, wallpaper you cannot patch, or rental rules may need a different anchor plan. Send a photo of the wall and bed position to info@lililite.com and we will suggest options.
